Richard has over 20 years’ experience in the waste to energy industry, establishing Gazasia in 2011 to develop the company's first waste to bio fuel project in the Philippines in partnership iwith one of the country’s major energy companies.
In 2002, he founded Gasrec Ltd in the UK, and under his leadership as CEO, the company sourced and established a management team which designed, developed and deployed the world’s first landfill gas to liquid bio methane plant.
Prior to that, Richard advised UK based alternative energy companies on business development, specifically consulting on planning and development issues.
Edward has over 7 years of experience in waste to energy projects.
He joined the company in 2011 to assess opportunities within the renewables industry in South East Asia initially, and most recently in the UK. He has developed a comprehensive knowledge of all primary technology solutions used in the modular build-up of gas production plans and is responsible for the relationships with specialist suppliers covering the full technology spectrum.
He has a detailed understanding of the financial models used to assess each project's commercial viability and is involved in sourcing waste supply and off-take contracts.
Doug acts as a consultant to Gazasia, advising on commercial strategy and market entry into the UK.
He has been involved in the natural gas/biomethane for transport market sector for 15 years, and was a member of the founding management team at Gasrec. As its Business Development Director, Doug was responsible for the supply of fuel and refuelling infrastructure to major UK fleet operators including, Tesco, DHL, Sainsbury’s, UPS and Eddie Stobart. In 2012 he completed the commercial agreement with Coca-Cola to supply biomethane for all their vehicles supporting the London Olympic Games.
Doug is a former Sales Director for ENN (China’s largest private energy company) and was responsible for the organisations’ entry in to the UK market and the deployment of ENN’s initial refuelling infrastructure and sales of LNG. In 2016 Doug was appointed as Global Vice-President of Sales for the Vayon Group which specialises in the development of HGV engine fuel combustion systems. Part of his responsibility was to run the U.S. operation, heading up a team of 35 people involved in natural gas dual fuel engine systems.
Sonja has a Masters degree in Communications Design and employs her skills as a graphic and communications designer to promote charities and start-up businesses in the waste, water and renewable energy sectors. Sonja initially worked on the development of Gazasia's brand identity and now acts as a consultant to the company, advising on all aspects of marketing and website design.
Libby worked in the investment industry for over 30 years, and has been involved with Gazasia since its inception, initially working on the business plan for the company's first project in the Philippines. She is now responsible for the day to day running of the company, establishing and reviewing consultancy and other contracts and advising generally on corporate and legal issues. Libby has an LLB degree from London University.
