Carbon Trust report investigates business response to climate change and resource scarcity

The Carbon Trust’s June 2015 report ‘Titans or Titanics?’ focuses on understanding and explaining how large businesses are responding to climate change and resource scarcity.

“The report makes interesting reading,” commented Gazasia’s CEO, Richard Lilleystone, “It’s clear from the report that businesses are generally aware of what they need to do to address these issues, but at the same time, the action they are taking on environmental sustainability is significantly short of what is required. The report makes the point that pressure from governments, investors, and particularly consumers does not yet appear sufficiently strong to force companies to take appropriate measures. Our experience in Asia is that where consumers are exerting pressure, businesses are beginning to respond and we are helping to implement the changes required to move them towards a more sustainable, low carbon environment.”
