Finland plans for a carbon neutral country by 2035

The Finnish government’s ambitious plan to achieve a carbon neutral country by 2035 includes a target 30% biofuels share in aviation fuels through a blending obligation. Finland’s recognition of the importance of delivering a significant reduction in aviation’s dependence on fossil fuel follows the aviation industry’s own recent commitment to reducing carbon emissions by 50% by 2050.

"The provision of sustainable aviation fuels to meet this growing demand remains an integral part of our program.” Richard Lilleystone, GazAsia CEO
